Hiroka AshikiLives in Azumino city Nagano prefecture. At the age of 17 I started writing lyrics and composing music with the desire to create music that reminds us of our ancient souls. Expressing the ancient Japanese view of life and nature in my modern songs valuing the sensibility I was born and raised in Shinshu. Growing up in a dysfunctional family I had conflicts with my parents was bullied and was sexually abused during my school years and became aware of the problem of how people should live happily as human beings. I've been engaged in various social activities such as lectures as well as music hoping to expand the world where we can be happy to be born and happy to be alive. Touring Japanese culture I actively performs live at archaeological and historical sites shrines and temples cultural assets and cultural facilities throughout Japan as well as in Taiwan Shanghai Bali New York England and other parts of the world. I'm also active in passing on traditional Japanese performing arts such as children's songs folk songs and classical dances.
