Odd Donuts
The unit consists of two members of the same age, Kosuke Miyata and Hiroshi Nakajima. Miyata made his major label debut in 2013 as vocalist and guitarist for nicoten, and in recent years has also demonstrated his talent as a writer, participating in the creation of music for Sexy Zone and A.B.C-Z. Nakajima has been a live support guitarist for his childhood friend Yonezu Genji since 2014. He also participates as a recording member on some of the songs. Miyata is known for his outstanding sense of melody and lyrics that accurately capture the hearts of listeners; "Gyutto," for which he co-wrote the lyrics with Sexy Zone's Fuuma Kikuchi, was performed at the 68th NHK Kohaku Uta Gassen in 2017 and received a great response from viewers other than fans of the group. Nakajima began learning trumpet and piano at the age of 8 under the influence of his jazz-loving father, and was first exposed to guitar at the age of 13. He has been sharing music with his childhood friend Yonezu, with whom he has been playing in bands since their school days. Miyata's roots are in the city pop music of Eiichi Otaki and Tatsuro Yamashita, while Nakajima has been the closest supporter of Yonezu, who has broken out of the vocaloid scene and is now at the top of the J-pop music scene.
