YongsiYongsi is a singer, songwriter, and music producer. She was born in
Guiyang, China. As a child, she was exposed to classical and early Chinese
rock music under the influence of her composer mother and began
composing at the age of 12.
She lived abroad several times in her youth and moved to Japan on her
own at 17, then majored in International Relations and Linguistics at
Doshisha University. In 2019, she released her first single <Where I Will>
which marks the beginning of her career as an artist.
Growing up in a complex environment where Eastern and Western
languages and cultures collided, she was enabled to build up a unique
perspective and multilingual music style. Which is often described as
enchanting, dark, and unpredictable.
With her plan of moving to London in September 2022, she is currently
working on her new album which is dedicated to people who come from
nomadic backgrounds with intense sensitivities and emotions.
