She entered club scene as singer "AZU" at the age of 16. AZU made her major label debut on 30th May 2007 and celebrated 15th anniversary in 2022. AZU first attracted public attention with "Jikan yo tomare feat. SEAMO". In 2009, "Imasuguni", "YOU & I feat. LOVE LOVELOVE" and "I WILL" were ranked No.1 in Recochoku Weekly Ranking. After releasing a number of singles and albums, her songs were ranked Oricon Daily Ranking Top 10, and used for numerous TV commercials and dramas, including the anime "Gintama" and "NARUTO". Her songs have been downloaded more than 10 million times in total and the lyrics, many of which she has written herself, have been ranked No.1 for 17 consecutive times in lyric ranking website. Her natural and realistic view of the world of lyrics has gained support mainly from women.
