Diamond Dust

A new unit formed by Saya Kawashima (soprano) and Yukiko Fuku (pianist and arranger). During their respective activities, they performed in the "Criative Opera Mix" organized by the Sapporo Performing Arts Center hitaru for three years from 2020 and hit it off well. After that, they performed a series of concerts, mainly classical music, and started full-fledged creation of new works from 2022. The unit's name, "Diamond Dust," refers to the beautiful natural phenomenon unique to Hokkaido where snow crystals fly in the air. The image of snow sparkling in the backlight on a cold sub-zero morning is created by Saya Kawashima's clear and elongated voice and Yukiko Fuku's original and outstanding compositional expression. Mysterious world of sound is created by singing with vowels and piano. This is the ultimate healing music that reminds us of the beautiful scenery of Hokkaido.
