Drakskip

Acoustic Instrumental band Drakskip - play our own tunes inspired by Scandinavian traditional music. Drakskip, formed in 2006 in Kyoto, is a musical ensemble that performs mostly Scandinavian music, both traditional and original tunes the musicians write themselves. Their unique combination of instruments, nyckelharpa with the more modern 5-string viola, Hardingfele and 12-string guitar gives their music a contemporary flavor. Scandinavian tour in 2012 and 2014, Drakskip performed at Kaustinen Folk Music Festival (FIN), Korrö Folkmusikfestival (SWE) and built intimacy with many artists and teachers, Drakskip would like to be a unique bridge between Sweden and Japan.
