Born in 1999 in Osaka, hwamo is known for lyrics that blend Japanese, Korean, and English, paired with a voice that is both soft and powerful. With roots in Korea, hwamo grew up immersed in traditional music and dance. She performs at HIPHOP and R&B events primarily in the Kansai region. Since 2021, she has been releasing music exclusively on SoundCloud and performing live on limited occasions. In July 2024, she featured on rapper DUSTY HUSKY's single "Tom Saab" released guerrilla-style with both the PV and track by DLiP Records. Her distinctive melody and lyrics, reminiscent of folk music, gained widespread attention. In August 2024, she released her debut single, "mouiikai".
