hwamoBorn in 1999, hwamo is an Osaka-based artist with Korean roots. Since childhood, she has been immersed in the sounds of Korean folk songs, traditional dance, and the culture of prayer. With a voice that holds both tenderness and edge, and lyrics that move fluidly between Japanese, Korean, and English, she sings to gently capture emotion and the subtle shifts of the heart. Drifting through the spaces between light and shadow, language and silence, life and death, she brings forth her truest self-etched in sound, revealed through music.
