The Japan Jazz Flute Big Band

JJFBB was formed by flutist, Yuko Hoshi in 2015.The band plays jazz standards and Japanese traditional songs arranged specifically for the jazz flute big band. Ali Ryerson, the legendary jazz flutist,and her work were the inspiration for the founding of the group. Ms. Ryerson accepted their invitation and performed with JJFBB in Tokyo in 2016. In April 2018, JJFBB performed at the 1st International Low Flutes Festival in Reston, VA as a featured ensemble and also toured New York City where they played a series of very well-received concerts.
