Tomomi Panda

With the catchphrase 'singing science jazz flute player', I am also active as a radio personality for the Dream Seed Broadcasting Station Purple Channel, making use of my daily life as a musician and scientist. I preside over various units as a flutist, vocalist, and keyboard harmonica player. Formed the duo 'Pan-kiyon' with jazz pianist Kiyoko Kondo, and is currently the leader of the fusion band 'Protago', which is derived from 'Pan-kiyon' and welcomes composer and guitarist Kazuya Motojima, who has worked on many hit songs for Yumiko Takahashi. In addition, he formed a duo 'Cinemars' with jazz guitarist Michio Miyaji to perform movie music. I have also collaborated with various musicians and have performed energetically in various places, mainly in Kanagawa and Tokyo. I sing, play the flute, and pursue music based on bossa nova, samba, and Latin jazz, with the flute playing the leading role. In addition, I participated in 'Bass Flute Lovers (Medeldan)' led by flutist Junichiro Taku, and 'Breeze Collection Flute Big Band' led by Yuko Hoshi. In these orchestras I played the bass and alto flute parts. Furthermore, as a pianist, I support a wide range of genres, from jazz to pop music and theatrical accompaniment.
