Yoshinobu Kojima

Born in Hyogo Prefecture in 1957. 1975~ Worked as a keyboard player/support musician for rock and R&B artists such as Star King Delicious, Kuwana Masahiro, Baker's Shop, and Shiotsugu Shinji. 1986~1987 Keyboardist for KUWATABAND In the 1980s, he participated in sessions with many American musicians, including top musicians in Los Angeles, Oakland, and San Francisco, Jeff Baxter (Steely Dan Doooby Brothers.etc), Gordon Edwards (Stuff.etc), and Carlos Vega. He also performed with many leading musicians around the world. In late 1994~, he moved to New Orleans, Louisiana, and worked as a member of Wild Magnolias, Rewards, and others. He toured the United States and Europe numerous times, drawing hundreds of thousands of people. He performed at the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival. After starting his activities based in New Orleans, he also experienced church gospel music, which became the foundation for his current style. After returning to Japan, he participated in the recording of albums and supported live performances and concerts for many artists. In 2008, he released his first solo album "KOJIMA", which was well received by people in the music industry. In 2016, he released his second album "KOJIMA Piano Solo/Anthology". While actively performing solo piano tours, he also formed the piano trio "KOJIMA" with Yamaki Hideo and Kanazawa Hideaki. Since then, he has performed in many sessions for over 40 years. He is currently active as a tour member of Yosui Inoue He will continue to perform with a wide range of musicians in the future.
