Shuji Yamagiri

Singer/songwriter/guitarist living in Tokyo. He has a wide vocal range and singing style, and specializes in playing acoustic guitar with open chords. After acting as a member of Japanese rock bands and as a solo artist, he started the Japanese art-rock duo KAO=S in 2011. KAO=S has gained attention overseas, performing at festivals such as SXSW and appearing on CNN program in the U.S. KAO=S has performed in 13 countries so far. At the end of 2023, Shuji re-starts full-fledged activities as a solo artist for the first time in 13 years. He plans to consistently release both sung and instrumental music. Born in Ube City, Yamaguchi Prefecture,Japan. His favorite acoustic guitars are Martin DC-15E and Stafford Sad-10.
