Influenced by her jazz saxophonist father, she became familiar with black music from an early age. She made her major debut with her 1999 single "I'll be there". The 1st album "Colorado" released in the same year won the 1st place in her first appearance in Recon. Received the Japan Gold Disc Award "New Artist of the Year". In the same year, she also appeared in a commercial for Kirin Beverage's canned coffee "FIRE" and attracted attention. The album "Orario" released the following year also recorded 3rd place on the Oricon chart. In 2002 she sang the insert song "No woman No cry" in the Studio Ghibli work "The Cat Returns/Ghiblies episode 2". Since 2003 she has moved her base of operations overseas. By hooking up with THE ROOTS, she joined the legendary event "Black Lily" in Philadelphia, New York, USA, which produced many female artists such as Jill Scott. Regular live performances as a singer. Taking this opportunity, GROOVE THEORY's female singer "Amel Larrieux" / male R&B singer "Eric Roberson" and "Tina" toured together and performed on stage with the Isley Brothers. He has earned the trust of many artists and musicians from overseas, such as co-starring, and is expanding his activities both domestically and internationally. In 2012, she released the CM song "Starting Over" for a major travel agency. She also released her long-awaited fifth album, A Song for You, in July of the same year. Since then, she has moved her base of activities to Japan and has been energetically repeating LIVE. She is planning to release a new album in 2022 for the first time in 10 years.
