Artist Profile

D.O

D.O. has a unique high tone voice, a flow that is so relaxed that it is strangely scary, a lyricism that uses a unique sense of language to depict the raw hardcore life on the street, and a strong yet somehow lovable character in terms of his speech and looks. No other artist fits the expression "once you hear it, you'll never forget it" as well as D.O. He has been a popular figure in Tokyo's underground scene since the late 1990s as a member of Motherfucker and Thunder, but when he began his solo career in the mid-2000s, he quickly gained recognition as one of the scene's most popular rappers. His own songs, such as "Poem of a Villain," which became the title of his autobiography published in 2019, as well as guest appearances that always leave a big impact, from SALU's "LIFE STYLE" to KOHH's "CBD (Remix)" to Sari Kato's "Garigari Sari" and Masashi Tashiro's "Rehab Mercy", are also very popular. He is a rare talent who sublimates the hard reality of the street into entertainment, and embodies such extremely hip-hop-like appeal with his whole body.
