Mixmaster Morris

Mixmaster Morris is an ambient DJ from Brighton, England. After graduating from university, he started his DJ career in 1985 with his own show "Mongolian Hip Hop Show" on unlicensed radio in London. He was active mainly in clubs in London, and in 1987 he started producing works with singer-songwriter De De Moor as The Irresistible Force, and became one of the leading figures in the UK acid scene. In the 90s, he emerged in the electronic music scene with The Orb and KLF, and released a remix of Cold Cut's hit single Autumn Leaves, which attracted worldwide attention. In the mid-90s, he released a collaboration with Pete Numlook and "Global Chillage" on Rising High Records. In 1998, he released "Quiet Lodge" in collaboration with Haruomi Hosono, which had a major impact on the scene. He has won "Best Chillout DJ" at the Ibiza DJ Awards three times. His collaborative work with Hosono Haruomi, "Quiet Lodge," was re-released on CD and vinyl in April 2024, to the delight of ambient listeners.
